Registration for the 2021 Advanced Methods Institute is now closed. We have met the number of registrants our virtual format will allow. We hope you join us in future years.

AMI 2021, organized by the College of Education & Human Ecology’s QualLab, will be held virtually from noon on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 until 1pm on Friday, June 4, 2021.

There are two tracks in the conference — Qualitative and Quantitative. During registration, please choose the track (quantitative or qualitative) of most interest to you. This will not limit you to every breakout session in that track; both contain information about mixed methods.

The Qualitative Track includes keynotes, panels and workshops on the most advanced iterations of content analysis, autoethnography, decolonizing methodology and methods, the ethics of educational community research, calling out the “White gaze” with epistemological and ontological approaches, and much more. See the schedule, presenters, titles and abstracts for more details.

The Quantitative Track includes keynotes, panels and workshops on the the most advanced iterations of GIS Mapping, how to address surveillance and selection bias, multi-level model specification, critical race mixed methodology, and much more. See the schedule, presenters, titles and abstracts for more details.

The McNair Track includes full participation in one of the main tracks plus pre- and post-conference gatherings, which will consist of peer and faculty mentoring. Click here for more information.
